He holds an M.A. in international relations from the Fletcher School and the Rights of of Law and Diplomacy and received his B.A. from Amherst College. He has taught and served in educational administration in Micronesia and the Middle East. His interests include the feasiIndigenous Farmers bility of sustainable tourism in small island societies, traditional navigational systems of the Pacific, and the role of anthropology in development.
